We have just about recovered from this year’s GIFA. We were delighted to see so many clients and future partners at our stand where we had three machines on display. GIFA 2019 was important for us as we had all three European branches present, as well as 150m2 to display machines from each of our competency centres.

With over 80 employees across Europe, we have grown considerably since 1979. We take a look how we have changed and our future plans.

What is GIFA

The majority of European foundry professionals are familiar with GIFA. But for those of you new to the industry, or who work outside of Europe, GIFA is the largest International Foundry Trade Fair.

GIFA takes place every 4 years, making it the leading trade fair for casting technology, and a highly anticipated event. Another GIFA differentiator is that it combines a trade show with technical forums. This means you always discover exciting new innovations when you attend.

The first GIFA, which stands for Gießerei-Fachmesse and means Foundry Trade Fair, was held in 1956. Since its creation, GIFA has grown considerably in size. It used to be ran alongside METAV but it now combines the METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST trade fairs.

December 14th is Polish Foundrymen’s day and JML Industrie is proud to be a Silver tier sponsor for the celebrations and international conference. The celebration is to be held in the Best Western Hotel in Krakow.

Each year JML is present at a number of key events in the metallurgical calendar.
